Impact Report

Take a look at all the ways God has shown His faithfulness to Timberlake Church in May.

Every story, every step forward, every changed life is a testimony to His steady hand at work among us.

A Word from Our Executive Pastor

A Word from Our Executive Pastor

As summer begins, ministry at Timberlake continues in full swing. While some groups take a seasonal pause, many others are ramping up with opportunities to serve, grow, and reach our community. From children's ministry events and outreach initiatives to worship, discipleship, and missions, God continues to work through the people of Timberlake in powerful ways.

This monthly Impact Report provides a snapshot of what God has been doing throughout our church. Inside, you'll find ministry highlights, key metrics, stories of life change, and updates that help tell the story of God's faithfulness among us.

Thank you for being part of all that God is doing at Timberlake. We hope this report encourages you as we continue moving forward together in mission and ministry.

TreeHouse Kids had a wonderful conclusion to our 20252026 Wednesday Night LifeGroup season on May 13th. We welcomed 44 children for an evening filled with dance parties, celebration, and special Bible recognition with Pastor Brad as we celebrated the spiritual growth and Scripture milestones of many of our children throughout the year. We also honored our six graduating fifth graders as they prepare to transition into student ministry this summer.

We are thankful for the volunteers, families, and church staff who helped make this year so meaningful for our children. As we partner with student ministry, we are planning several fun transition events for our graduating fifth graders this summer, with more details to be shared soon.  Wednesday Night LifeGroup will begin again after Labor Day on Wednesday, September 2nd, and we are already looking forward to another exciting year together.

On Sunday mornings, I continued to meet with middle school students for a brief Bible study and discussion group. Its been fun to see how students think through all the ways the Ten Commandments interact with their daily lives. Weve covered one of the Ten Words each week, so while its not the same students every week, any given middle schooler should know about five of them really well by the end of this, ha!

The high school students were able to have their final Spring session back in the Mill! Despite the displacements and the need to be flexible, attendance in the student ministry has remained about twice as high as on the same dates last year. Weve been diving (pun intended) into the story of Jonah and learning all sorts of fascinating ways Gods character is painted in this strange upside-down book.

Timberlake hosted the Brookville Baccalaureate again this year. It was a meaningful service for the families and a good representation of our churchs care for our community. Pastor Jesse gave a brief message to the students about considering God in all the important decisions ahead of them.

Throughout May, I was happy to attend several schools year-end plays and concerts as well as several graduations and grad parties. I am proud of all our students representing Jesus at nearly every school in our area. Join me in praying over them as our seniors move on to the next season of life.

Over the past several months, we have watched more of our young adults begin stepping into areas of service throughout the church and within the community. Increasingly, our group has grown into a culture of serving one another with genuine joy and intentionality. Young adults have begun helping with ministries like the Fillin Station, are soon helping with chair setup, and are taking initiative to care for both new and existing members of the group in practical ways.

One of the most encouraging parts of this growth has been watching them serve each other so naturally. People are reaching out to new young adults during the week, inviting them into conversations and gatherings and helping make sure no one feels overlooked or alone. Thats one thing that has always been a part of our culture: the desire within the group for everyone to feel welcomed, loved and included in what God is doing.

One young adult recently shared how deeply meaningful it was to help serve food and pray for people at the Fillin Station. What may have seemed like a simple act of service became something profoundly personal as he experienced the joy of encouraging and ministering to others firsthand.

It has been such a blessing to watch the group increasingly reflect the servant-hearted love of Jesus. Thank you all for your prayers!

Missions

Feeding

The Fillin Station continues to minister to our neighbors with sustenance and love. Heres a wonderful story from this months distribution:

We had an inspirational moment the evening of May 11. A family came through, and, as conversation transpired, our team member Jessica recognized it was the birthday of a child in one of the families being served. Jessica asked the family to be patient while she pulled together a few special birthday treats in addition to what was being regularly distributed. Once the items were compiled, she returned to the distribution area to find out the car had been loaded and the family had left. She asked Kristen about the family, and Kristen was able to find their registration account, so she got on the phone and called them. The family returned to pick up a few special items for the birthday child. This is the spirit of the FIllin' Stationserving our neighbors!

International Missions

As a part of the Christmas Eve offering, the church sent financial gifts to our foreign missionaries to use for special projects. Our missionary in Central Asia sent this update on how our funds were used to support her work there:

Here is an overview of the last few months and how your funds have been spent plus their impact. Weve had numerous spiritual conversations, shared the gospel many times, began reading with a few seekers, and have been empowered to encourage the local believers. One of our baristas has committed his life to Jesus! A couple of our team members have been reading with him and pouring into him and his journey. Our team is continually grateful for how the Lord has chosen to provide for us through your congregation.Your contribution and support has had an impact in all of these ways:

Ordered new ’green’ beans to roast for our cafe and sell to other cafes in the city (which helps us get connected to other businesses)

Bought more tables and chairs, allowing us to support larger groups joining in on community events (these are keythis is where we get to connect and share!)

Supported events such as speed friending, additional English clubs, and other events

Hired one more barista to help leave us with time to connect with others; shes also one more person to pour into and share with

Bought shelving, refrigerator, and more glasses

Valor Farm/Veterans

Christine Schram and her group at Wednesday night Treehouse Kids wrote cards to Austin, the veteran living in the Timberlake house, and prepared a basket full of snacks and treats for him. The basket was delivered to him at the farm, and he was so touched and encouraged by the thoughtfulness of our children.
