I have enjoyed serving on the Parking Team at Timberlake for the past few years. Before I started serving, I hadn’t been engaged at church. Of course, we sat around and would speak to people, but I feel like serving on the Parking Team has allowed me to get to know more of our congregation, even if it is just with a smile and a wave.
I see God moving within me by the relationships I have developed with other members. I have quite a few people that will stop and roll down their window and speak for a few minutes before leaving or going in. I feel like my engagement is much more intentional now and that the relationships with others on Sunday mornings are meaningful. Now I feel like I am part of the “Timberlake Family.”
